Redha

If I could only describe this movie in one word, it'd be 'beautiful'. From start to finish, Tunku Mona Riza's film directorial debut never failed to amaze me with the beautiful cinematography, beautiful dialogues and its simple yet enthralling plot.

Redha serves not only as an educational film with its autism theme but takes the audiences on an emotional roller-coaster with the reality faced by a family with an autistic child.

With an estimation of 1 out of 600 children in Malaysia is born with autism, it is vital for this kind of story to be brought into a feature film; not only to address the problem that arises but to raise awareness and sympathy from Malaysian. I love how the director tackled on the seemingly low awareness of Malaysians toward autism and it was successfully portrayed when the family struggled with the negative perception thrown on the autistic child, Danial (Harith Haziq).

Verdict: A must watch! The cinematography is enchanting and at times I feel like watching a Hollywood movie. Sure, it is slow-paced but you'll be immersed with the plot so much that you won't care if the movie is slow

Watch out for: Tears. Lots and lots of tears. Bring some Kleenex y'all!

Rating: 10/10 (yes I am sure)
